Celebrate Independencia de Mexico at Gabbi’s! Every September 16th, the streets of Mexico are filled with fireworks, music, and celebration. Father Miguel Hidalgo’s famous speech called “El Grito de Delores” began the Mexican revolution that freed Mexico from Spanish rule.

This seasonal dish is said to be have been created in the early 19th century around the time of Mexico’s independence and features all three colors of the Mexican flag – red, white, and green. It is considered one of Mexico’s most patriotic dishes.
