Memorial Day weekend marks a time to reflect and thank those who have served for our country. At home, we enjoy spending time with family and grilling some of our favorite family go-to’s including grilled corn, smoked meats, and in-season veggies. Below are some of easy tips that give your grilled favorites that extra flavor and delicious White Sangria recipe to enjoy all summer long. Happy Memorial Day Weekend and Buen Provecho! ~Chef Gabbi
This recipe serves 10-15 people. We serve our White Sangria with seasonal fruits. You can also grill the fruit to add an extra layer of flavor and customize to your liking. Salud!
2 bottles pinot grigio
250 ml. guava rum
125 ml. triple sec
125 ml. peach brandy
1/2 bottle bouchaine bouche d’or (any late harvest chardonnay)
125 ml. sweet-n-sour
1 bottle sparkling white wine
2 seasonal fruits, chopped & grilled
Mix together all liquids except sparkling wine
Serve over ice in a glass
Top off with sparkling white wine
Add seasonal fruit
Recommended: berries, peaches, pineapples, mint, pomegranate
-Give extra depths of flavor to your cocktails, salads, desserts, and more by grilling your fruits to add caramelization or your veggies for a little char and smokiness
-Finish off grilled meats, fish, and veggies with a drizzle of high quality extra virgin olive oil (We recommend Olive Oil & Beyond Habanero Extra Virgin Olive Oil for an added kick)
-No protein or veggie is finished without our favorite Maldon Salt. This flakey sea salt is a favorite of ours at home and at Gabbi’s!
